LFC : Preperations and Expectations

LFC has just announced their Asia Tour where the team are expected to play Guangdong Sunray Cave, China on the 13th of July and against the Malaysian National team at Bukit Jalil Stadium, Kuala Lumpur 3 days later.

This is part of the team's pre-season plans. I'm sure the fans in China and Malaysia can't wait to see their heroes in action - more closely. Liverpool do have a large fan base in this part of the world.

Pre-season is always good, this is to prepare the team for the new season. It's also good for the coaches to evaluate the players. Hopefully by then we will have some 'new' faces with the team as well.

As a fan, I do follow the team's development. Trainings, friendly games, players coming in, players leaving, injuries and the list goes on. Liverpool FC haven't been doing pretty well on the past, mainly in the close season. News about players that came in didn't really have a good impact to me. Last season we signed Joe Cole, Poulsen, Jovanovic and Konchesky. Besides Joe Cole, the others didn't managed to lift my eye-brows. Even Joe Cole failed to lift-up to the expectations as the season goes by.

With the new setup that we have now, new owners, King Kenny and Damien Comolli things are starting to change. The team finished 6th in the league after a disastrous start of last season's campaign is not too bad at all.

So many names have been linked to Liverpool since before the league ended. Eden Hazard, Ashley Young, Stewart Downing and a few more. But with King Kenny around, just like back in January, we wont be certain until everything has been confirmed officially by the club. The fans never really knew whether Torres is going, or Carroll and Suarez is coming in. Like Kenny stressed, LFC will always do their business behind closed doors.

Whoever the club decides to sign for the new season I am pretty sure they will do good. But as a fan we have to give some time to the team to gel. Liverpool FC is in a 'build-up' process. It'll be good if they can instantly challenge for honors next season but we have to remember that other clubs are spending as well.

The moral was high when Liverpool finished quite strong but it can vanish instantly if they can't replicate their form and winning games in the new season. So we have to stick together and not to give too much pressure to our beloved team.

But this is Liverpool Football Club. Success is a must !
