LFC : Taking the 'Baby steps'

Liverpool FC conceded their 1st defeat of the season to Stoke City last night.
I was unable to watch it live on TV so had to opt into following the updates via twitter. That is only until my blackberry ran out of battery.
Carragher was at fault when he fouled an opponent inside the box. Although I didn't watch it live but somehow I managed to catch the incident from a replay match on tv.
I had to say the referee made a correct call. Many of the fans were quite frustrated with Carragher on twitter but soon to echo the captain on the ref's decision.
For me, Carragher is no longer at his prime. But he can't be blame for 1 mistake. He will still be a 'key' player in the course of the season where he will play an important role. Afterall he is the vice-captain.
Yes, Carra made a mistake, and it was a costly mistake as Liverpool lost. But what about the chances that was created by the front players? None of the effort managed to be turn into a goal.
Many starts to question Carra's ability. Just because of the mistake. This is the reason why Kenny bought Coates. I think he will be Carra's replacement for the future.
But like I said earlier, do not judge Carra mainly on 1 lost. I do understand why the fans were frustrated with the result as the other big teams won their game respectively.
Liverpool are still in a rebuilding process and we can't expect them to be perfect .. Yet. Unlike Man Utd, they have been together for years. Including the juniors. City are a different set where with the money that they have invested managed to get world class players. The question with them whether can they sustain the player's form until the end of the season?
We have to give time to Kenny to get the 'system' right within the squad. At the moment the players know how important the get good result in every game. There is a sense of urgency. But the players must remain focus.
Because of the expectations, the players will get 'panicky' if they fell behind. They should remain calm if they were to grind respective results.
Towards the end of last season Dalglish and his charges lost the last 2 games but only fell behind to Chelsea. This statistics was only after Dalglish took charge. Considering how Liverpool started it was not a bad effort. Just imagine if the gaffer was in charge from the beginning of the season, we might be in Europe this year.
I am convince, even after the recent bad result Liverpool will become stronger as the league goes by. We just need to have faith. Take 'baby steps' before we can start to run.
