LFC : Dead Line Day

Having a busy 'Eidul Fitri' does not stop me from following the 'dead line' transfer news in BPL; especially news regarding Liverpool FC.
I have to admit LFC haven't been this busy for so long and it is overwhelming knowing and realizing the club's ambition this season.
Kenny and Co. have managed to off load players like Ngog, Joe Cole, Degen and Poulsen. Bringing in Bellamy (free transfer) and bagging £12 mil for Raul Meireles to go to Chelsea.
From the early stages of the transfer window the fans new and wanted the club to get rid of the so called 'deadwoods'. The unfortunate Joe Cole, Poulsen and Degen.
The club managed to full fill the 'hopes' of the fans buy off loading the mentioned names.
The most talk about story would be the last minute hand in transfer request by Raul Meireles. Many would see him as another 'traitor' in the class of Fernando Torres. Coincidentally Meireles also went to Chelsea.
I, personally would have to say the club made a good judgement on this. Having bagging in £12 mil for Raul - its a master stroke.
Raul Meireles was among the 'heroes' that helped LFC finished 6th last season. But that was then.
We as fans will never know the real reason why he wanted to leave, not at the soonest time of course. I'm guessing Raul somehow knows that he won't have a future at Liverpool. As a professional he needs to make a decision. To leave while the opportunity is still there or to stay until he is not needed by the management.
King Kenny brought in Henderson, Downing and Charlie Adam plus the others like Spearing, Lucas, Jonjo Shelvey and Steven Gerrard it'll be difficult for him to get a regular place in the team. And he needs that.
Kenny would have loved if he wanted to stay but the King also realized that he won't be able to pen in Meireles in every game. My guess is Kenny wants to build the team around Gerrard, Lucas, Adam and Downing, with Henderson, Spearing and Jonjo as the backups. With Chelsea offering £12 mil its difficult to say no.
I think it's not wrong for Raul to leave now. LFC is much more stable with so many players under King Kenny. Wishing him all the best for the future and thanking him for all the great goals he scored.
