LFC : Rate Kenny when season ends

Another home draw, a 0-0 against Stoke somehow triggered another alarm among LFC fans. Again, the team was doing everything right except for putting the ball into the net. 15 total shots but only 1 shot were on target. 5 shots were blocked, 8 shots were made from outside the box, 7 were inside the box and a 68% of possession.

I obviously thought that again Liverpool were unlucky. They had at least 2 clear call for a penalty when Andy Carroll was upended inside the box. But it never came.

I know we had the chance to go up into 4th place but instead we are now at 7th. Doubts is starting to grow among the fans on Dalglish's ability to manage LFC at the highest level. I beg to differ.

The King came back when Liverpool was in need of someone in his stature. Everything was in a mess, in and off the field. Players losing confidence, fans losing patience, the so unlucky Roy never had it in him to steer a sinking ship.

Gerrard was a lost man, he was never the same player when Rafa was still around. Torres were the same and unlucky with injuries too. Agger and Skrtel never looked solid. The conclusion, the whole squad was never good enough to stay in the Premier League! The players that Roy brought in could never help. Some said that Roy inherited a bad squad from Rafa. But it was never the case if Rafa had stayed. It could be a 'factor' on why Roy was never a success though as Rafa was asked to leave because the team, his team finished 7th in the league. Well, it might be a different story if he was given a chance but I guess we wouldn't know.

Then came in Kenny, brought in by the new regime. Let's do some comparison, a team that Kenny inherited from Roy and a team that Roy inherited from Rafa. Which is the worst? And please keep in mind, when Kenny came in he got Roy's team minus Torres which left not long after that. Yet he still managed to steer the team to number 6 by the end of last season. Narrowly missing on a Europa spot as well!

7 new players came in and Liverpool is basically 'rebuilding' under Kenny Dalglish. With so many new players (and most of them are the core players) it is very difficult to get everyone playing as if they have known and played together for the rest of their lives. At the same time the King has not been able to field his strongest side yet. Gerrard was injured, then he lost Lucas which continued his tremendous form from last season and when Gerrard was swiftly brought into the team the gaffer lost Suarez through suspension.

Different personnel has come in but one thing for sure, we have seen the team playing on a same level of pattern week in week out. The style of play that we used to see when Liverpool was ruling English league and Europe.

Rafa was instantly hailed as a 'great' manager among the fans when he won Liverpool the 5th European title. But we never got it going in the league instantly do we? Then we won the FA Cup yet we are still not the league champions. The closest was when we finished second.

We are still in a fight to finished 4th this season and we are already in the Carling Cup semi finals. I'd say Kenny is doing a good job. Maybe not great, but it is considered good for now. Let's just wait until the season ends. Then we will see how far have we gone under King Kenny. Lets us together throw in the verdict once the league ends.
