LFC: Sturdy defense and another success in europe

dirk kuyt's winner sent liverpool fc to the last 16 of this year's europa cup. another shut-out and extended liverpool's undefeated record to eight games now. kenny dalglish has only returned to the club for 7 weeks now and 8 undefeated games. how kenny has transformed the club to gain better results in less than 2 months? besides 3 players; torres, suarez and carroll ... the squad basically are still the same squad that he inherited from roy hodgson.

the very obvious thing was the confidence level of the players has improved tremendously. i have to say liverpool didn't really get to play their game. kudos to sparta that made life difficult for the reds on their own turf. liverpool won because of the players worked hard and they had belief that they can win it! this is how confident the squad is. they belief that they can win any game if they keep on working hard and play with passion. things that ware missing in the last six , seven months.

another key to their confidence was the team is defending well now. they didn't have the best game against sparta last night but due to the sturdy defense they keep on working their way into sparta's penalty box and was awarded with dirk's winning goal.

at the rate the team is going i have a strong believe that liverpool will finish higher then we all thought earlier. and this is due to one man's work ... the KING himself ... hail KING KENNY !! and YNWA .. !! expecting another favorable result against west ham on the weekend.
