Liverpool went for the kill right from the start with Luis Suarez making a nuisance all over Bolton's defenders. Kenny Dalglish made a slight change in naming Suarez and Kuyt as the striking pair and Carroll started from the bench.
The change in personnel never really affected the shape of the team as everyone was passing and running freely on the field. In attack there's always Suarez and Kuyt, in midfield there's Downing, Hendo, Lucas and Adam and in defense, they seem to be 'missing' as not much action were happening on Liverpool's penalty area except for 1 shot that was saved by Reina in the 1st half. In other words it was quite difficult to pin-point 1 player's performance as the whole team's performances was a joy to watch.
Hendo opened the goal fest for Liverpool and it all started from a splendid Suarez's pass to Downing down the left flank. Then came in Skrtel's bullet header before another summer signing in Charlie Adam completed a 3 goal score for Liverpool.
The team's performance was so good that it is quite difficult to say who had the best time on the field. Well, Suarez definitely has the right to be mentioned as he was involved heavily in all Liverpool's attack, but the same can be said for the other players too. Downing was unlucky not to score, same goes for Lucas and Kuyt. But that didn't mean they played badly.
The pass and move worked like a charm. Everyone was always moving and every pass at the final third always had promised.
Henderson, after heavily criticized in the first two games was instrumental in the midfield. His work rate, passing and movement was excellent and it was nice for him to score as well.
It was so joyful even the players were smiling to each other. That shows that everyone was enjoying their football. Liverpool will temporarily be in top sport after the win. With a one week break coming due to international games we just hope the momentum will just keep going.
This is only the 3rd game and if they can perform like this until the end of the season, I don't see any reason why Liverpool FC can't finish among the top 4.
