Fresh from their success in the AFF Suzuki Cup last December, the Tigers will want to continue their winning ways. Apart from that, the younger Tiger squad had just qualified for the final 12 teams which later will be competing for a place to next year's Olympic games in London. This will be a 'tonic' and inspiration for the senior squad to do well.

These younger crop of players led by Chief Coach Datuk K Rajagopal has definitely got the 'groove' going. Safee Sali, Norshahrul Idlan Talaha, Mahali Jasuli, Safiq Rahim, Amirulhardi Zainal, Khairul Fahmi and the other team members are surely the new "footballing stars" in Malaysia.
They have done a good job in 2 major tournaments, the SEA Games and the AFF Suzuki Cup. They still need to work before the team can be considered to be as good as Japan, China and South Korea.
The good thing about the current team is the fans can see their honesty and their hard work. Malaysia may not be a football 'Giant' in ASIA yet, but with the commitment shown by everybody, it's not impossible.
Hope for another good performance tomorrow. Go "Harimau Malaya" !!!
