Keep the faith

Another defeat and this time around against West Brom. It was yet another 'painful' defeat for the fans as we are hoping the team to win.

Again, there was nothing to worry about for their overall performance. It has been Liverpool's story for the whole season. Hitting the bar or the post, fine form from the opposition's keeper and the ball seems to refuse to hit the net.

As for me, although I can't deny my frustration on the league achievement but cum the end of this season I'd say I'd be happy with the overall result. I do concur with the manager, Kenny Dalglish that the team has been making progress.

It's not as what everyone else had expected, but securing the league Cup and now in the FA cup final, I'd say what a season it has been. We still have a chance to add another cup, but first they have to beat Chelsea.

Critics have been thrown to the new signings. Henderson, Carroll, Downing, Adam, all received equal treatment from the fans and pundits. Yes, they are professionals, yes, they are paid to do their jobs, yes Liverpool paid them a lot but they have not been up to the fans' expectations. Let me repeat, "fans' expectations".

As far as what I see, Kenny and his team are happy with them. Even there's no 'official' statement from the owner, who actually took out the money to get them. So why we as fans bother?

We are so 'success oriented' that at times we forget to look at the bigger picture. Big money + liverpool = success. The equation does not suit to Liverpool's league standing does it? What if "Big money + time spend + liverpool = success' ??

Again and again KD keeps on stressing the Liverpool are work in progress. Yes, with a bit of luck we might not be where we are right now. The thing is, things has happened and we are sitting at 8th. Not that the boys didn't try, they did but luck was just not with them.

We do not need to compare ourselves to City, United, Chelsea and Arsenal. Besides United, who has won more cup than us? None of the others. And this term we have just added another one in the league cup and we still have a chance to do the double by winning the FA Cup.

Liverpool Football Club is a club that win trophies. We will get there, winning the league. But we need to start somewhere. Let winning the league cup and maybe the fa cup be the trigger for us to win more in the future. Lets just have some faith and keep on giving our support to the club and the players.
