Start to a new era

6 years where we have to wait for another Liverpool's appearance in a Cup final.
Finally it arrived last Sunday. Liverpool beat Cardiff City in a penalty shoot-out
and the fans are happy again. We are the champions and it's always a nice feeling.

It has been 3 days and I bet all Liverpool fans are still buzzing and are still in a
celebrating mood. Some might say it's only a League Cup or Liverpool were lucky to win it
after a penalty shoot-out. Credit to Cardiff City who I thought played magnificently.
They took the lead and towards the dying seconds in extra-time they levelled the score
making it 2-2. But overall I personally thought Liverpool were the worthy winners. They
kept on playing to their strength.

18 months ago, no one would have imagined Liverpool could appear in any finals. John Henry and
Tom Werner came in and they brought back the King. 7 news players came in and now they
have secured the 1st silverware. Looking back at the problems Liverpool had, this is
definitely a tremendous achievement!

King Kenny has said it so many times this season, the current Liverpool team is a work in
progress. And what a progress it has been. 1st winners medal in the Carling Cup, still in
the FA Cup competition and is currently and strongly challenging for the 4th spot in the league.

I have to say, the current players that Liverpool have may not win the league. But by winning
the league cup it may be a start to many more achievements. Andy Carroll, Charlie Adam, Steward
Downing, Enrique, Suarez and Bellamy, are all new to LFC. Combining with the current players
they are starting to have a winning culture among them.

To some, the League Cup may not be as big as the FA Cup or the Champions League. But a cup is still
a cup. Like I said, it's to get the winning culture into the side. May be it a league cup, FA Cup,
league champions, Champions league, once it's there they can win anything.

Of course I would not doubt there will be new players coming in or current players leaving. It is
inevitable as the owners and King Kenny will always think on how to improve from here.
No one is bigger than Liverpool Fc.

The Liverpool of old, with Rush, John Barnes, Steve McMahon, Steve Nicol, Aldrige, Beardsley, they
do this every year. It is what Man Utd is doing now. They know how to win things. This is what
Liverpool needs to have now.

As I've stated before, there will be so many comments to the team and the players individually,
but the feeling will change once the season ended. Everyone will realise that LFC is not doing
pretty bad after all. But I will also feel we might see some current players leaving LFC. This
is simple, in order to achieve a higher greatness we might need to do some sacrifices. All in the
good of Liverpool Football Club.
