LFC : Finishing touch

Another draw at home, this time around it was against the newly promoted team in Norwich City. In my previous post I had alarmed the team of being complacent, just because we were playing at home that doesn't mean we can take things lightly. After all Norwich is just 3 points adrift.

1-1 result was surely a disappointing result, especially to the fans who expected more from the team. Honestly, I was happier compared to the game against United. It is true that they dropped another 2 points, but looking at how they approached the game it made me smile.

Credit must be given to Norwich as they played a good game too. Some sides might have just sit back and waited for the onslaught and yet the Canaries just came attacking. For the neutrals, it was an entertaining game.

We have to keep in mind that Liverpool FC is in a rebuilding process. The main target is to finish among the top 4 and qualify for next year's Champions League. 6,7 new players were brought in to strengthen the overall squad. It is pretty obvious we do need 'time' before the team really 'click' and gel. Luis Suarez will be the only exceptional case where he has fitted in well.

KD started with Bellamy and Downing on the flanks. Gerrard and Adam at the center and Kuyt and Suarez partnered upfront. Bellamy scored towards the end of the 1st half but Norwich took the game on us during the second half.

Gerrard and Adam bossed the midfield during the first half but they couldn't continue the momentum during the 2nd half. I think, it might have been a different case if Lucas was playing. We were 'lucky' it was Norwich, if it was to be another team, we might have lost the game.

Some might argue on why Bellamy was taken off? Obviously only KD and his coaching staff knows the real reason behind it. Yes, they might score more if Bellamy stayed on, but statistics showed they still created chances even after his was taken off.

The issue now is they are not converting the chances that came by. We could have easily won 3-4 goals that day. The same goes when we were against United. They dominated the game, created chances, but was not able to convert it into goals.

Since KD took over Liverpool have been playing an 'impressive' pass and move game. They are much livelier and an interesting team to watch. The 'old' Liverpool team that I know is coming back. It's just a matter of time before everything falls into place. The morale of the team seems high at the moment and it will get even better once the goals starts to come in.

Don't judge KD and the team now, just them at the end of the season. In King Kenny We trust !!
